Friction stir welding (FSW) is a solid-state jointing technology, and has the advantages of high joint strength, low residual stress, small deformation after welding. During FSW, temperature directly influences quality weldment. A heat generation model FSW medium thickness aluminum alloy 2219 established considering friction generated at interface between tool workpiece plastic weldment material near tool. The transfer set conduction, convection, radiation.
